Script writing

The basis of every tour

Script writers are the professionals who turn content into entertaining stories. By using the available content and talking to you about your own ideas, they will write a fitting and unique script for every project.

If you contact one of our partners directly, don't forget to mention Guide ID so they can optimise the script for the Podcatcher platform.

Tour Content and Audio Scripts (English, German)

We’re a team of historians who create engaging tours that take users back in time. Informative, yet engaging - that is our motto. To that end, we often use storytelling techniques to capture the audience’s imagination.

We begin each project with extensive research, to make sure all the information we are providing is accurate. Then, we conceptualize the best way of bringing that information across – be it informative, descriptive audio-guide-style texts or something more playful, like fictional scenes that provide a glimpse into the past. What’s most important to us: finding a solution that best fits our client’s needs.
Among the places we have covered in our guided tours are: Berlin, Heidelberg, Bocholt, Freudenstadt and Bad Liebenzell.

We can provide content in English or German. Since we work with a large network of translators, other languages can be provided as well. If required, we can also organize the audio production of our content.

Visit our website www.historicity.de for more details and for audio samples of past projects.

Pamela Glintenkamp

Scriptwriter (English)

For the past 10 years I've worked with museums, historic sites and other cultural institutions in the production of audio guides and video programmes.

My clients in the US and Europe include: The National Portrait Gallery, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Historic Annapolis, the National Gallery, and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. I frequently work with client team members from curatorial, education, as well as marketing and communications departments.

I have extensive experience incorporating interview content in audio guides, as well as writing narration that keeps the visitor engaged. The Arts and Culture Tour I wrote for the City of Los Angeles was honored with the International Downtown Association Marketing and Communications Award. The soundscape I designed and produced for Anish Kapoor's Orbit in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was nominated as Audio Installation of the Year in the AV Awards.

I'm accustomed to finding creative solutions that work within modest budgets. I can also help you to conceptualize a tour that will take best advantage of the capabilities of the Guide ID Podcatcher platform.

Marthy Locht

Scriptwriter (Dutch)

Are you looking for an audio tour that offers information in a modern and refreshing way? An audio tour that stimulates and offers tools for interpretation objects? My audio tours are always based on the correct historical facts, without being boring and standard. Visual content and visitor experience are always central. I try and find different ways of approaching content, so that the tour contains different elements and therefor can entertain visitors from beginning to end. I have been writing scripts for 5 years for museums and galleries, for a wide range of audiences. As a museum staff member I know exactly what the right ingredients are for a entertaining tour.

Some of Marthy's tours include Museum M in Leuven and Royal Museum of Fine Arts Belgium.

She writes for a broad public, from children to adults and from ‘beginners’ to specialists.
