These gardens highlight the plants, beauty and aesthetics that thrive in the Berkshires. The 23 featured display gardens serve as a living classroom with our Podcatchers helping to tell their stories. To further enhance the Garden experience, featured outdoor design, sculpture and architectural exhibits are sited throughout the Garden in this inspirational setting.

Escher's journey

Almost everyone has seen a work by M.C. Escher: his 'Waterfall' for example, or the work 'with the endless stairs'. Escher is one of the most famous artists in the Netherlands and The Museum of Friesland is organizing a major exhibition about M.C. Escher for 2018, the year that Leeuwarden-Fryslân is the Cultural Capital of Europe. The museum will present a large-scale exhibition of his work. On the basis of approximately eighty early and late original prints, his artistic development from a technically competent graphic artist to a world-famous artist becomes visible. With the Podcatcher at your ear you will learn everything about the wonderful life and work of M.C. Escher.

Taubman Museum of Art, Roanoke, VA USA

New perspectives at our newest client in the USA

The Taubman Museum of Art is part of the lively metro mountain mix of arts, culture and outdoor fun in the heart of downtown Roanoke, Virginia. The museum is home to a permanent collection and originates 15-20 exhibitions per year. The Podcatcher will be used for the exhibition "Outside Eyes: New Perspectives on the Collection" which showcases both visitor favorites alongside never-before-seen works from the museum’s renowned collection. The Podcatcher will also provide an architectural tour of the building, which was built by the internationally renowned architect Randall Stout.

Magical castle and gardens

The Quinta da Regaleira is a decorative 20th century residence that is situated in the town of Sintra, near Lisbon. The grand house is split over five floors and has an ornate gothic façade, but the real attraction is to the rear with the enchanting gardens. The gardens of the Quinta da Regaleira were styled to represent ancient secret orders, with hidden tunnels and concealed symbolism. The tour is offered in several languages and for blind visitors there is a special audiotour as well. Take an audiotour and discover the wonders of this magical place.
