The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston TX USA

Vincent van Gogh: His Life in Art

Guide ID continues our ongoing audio tour collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston with this major exhibition that brings together more than 50 masterworks by one of the most iconic artists in the history of Western art.

Vincent van Gogh: His Life in Art highlights the artist's early years in the Netherlands; his luminous period in Paris; his search for light and color in the South of France; and his exploration of nature as a source of enduring inspiration in Saint-Remy and Auvers.

The exhibition showcases portraits, landscapes, and still lifes drawn primarily from the collections of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, the Netherlands.

National Military Museum, Soesterberg, NL

When the Russians arrive

Guide ID is pleased to start working with the National Military Museum from February 2019 onwards. The Podcatcher will be used in the exhibition 'When the Russians arrive'. In 2019 it will be 30 years since the Wall fell and that the Cold War came to an end. Soesterberg airbase is an icon of that time, when American F-15s were stationed to keep an eye on the Russians. The National Military Museum is located on the former base that closed in 2009. Reason enough for the museum to dedicate an exhibition to this special period.
